How to configure a network in Metamask?

One of the nice features of Metamask is the ability to configure different supported networks in order to view tokens or NFTs hosted on them.

That is why we bring you the following guide so that you can manually configure the network you want in your Metamask.

In the following tutorial we are going to configure the BNB Chain (BSC) network, for this we have two different methods of doing it:

Method 1:

Step 1: We open our Metamask and click on the top where the name of our current network is written.

Step 2: In the pop-up window we will select Add network.

Step 3: A tab will open in the browser in which we will have access to the Metamask network configuration. In the list of available networks we can select one and click Add to add it. Then we press Approve and we will have our network ready to use.

Method 2:

Step 1: As in the previous method, we first open our Metamask, click on the name of the current network and select Add network. The Metamask network configuration web will open and at the bottom we will enter Add a network manually to manually add the data of the network that we want to use.

Step 2: We will fill in the network data, in this case BNB chain. We leave the data below so that you can copy and paste them directly and save the search.

Network name: BNB Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
Chain ID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

From now on your Metamask will be working on the configured network. In case you want to go back to a previous network, just click on the name of the network at the top and select any of the list of configured networks.

We hope we have been very helpful with this tutorial, share it and until next time!
